German Marine Agencies, Inc. is a duly licensed manning agency accredited with the Department of Migrant Workers on 28 June 1989 and started business operations on 28 August 1989.

German Marine Agencies, Inc. was established, incorporated and set up by Capt. Carlos A. Anacta, a master mariner, under the helm of Captain Klaus S. Boehe, a well known-shipping executive from Germany and a partner of a ship management company in Hong Kong.

In 2019, Ms. Cecile A. Samala assumed the presidency of German Marine Agencies, Inc., with over three decades of experience in the maritime industry, she has continually demonstrated her dedication to the success of German Marine Agencies, Inc. and its mission.

We are ISO 9001:2015 certified and have been successfully audited as one of the first manning agents in the Philippines for full compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006.

We have been providing crewing and ship management services for more than three decades. We are one of the leading crewing agencies in the Philippines with a pool of seafarers capable of manning and operating all kinds of sea-going vessels in international waters.

Crewing Services

Crew Selection

German Marine Agencies, Inc. welcomes new hires. Applicants undergo interviews and a Crew Evaluation System (CES) Test to determine their qualifications.

Once an applicant is qualified, he undergoes medical examinations at GMA’s accredited clinics.

GMA closely coordinates with its principals throughout the selection process.

Crew Training

GMA plays an active role in fostering the growth of its seafarers. Prior to their deployment, seafarers receive essential training and attend seminars to equip them for the challenges they will encounter while aboard the vessels.

Based on performance assessments, seafarers are motivated to continuously enhance their expertise and competencies related to their job roles and duties. The pursuit of qualification upgrades to facilitate career advancement is also strongly promoted.
